Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your subscription to and use of LexBill, a legal billing and LHDN MyInvois e-Invoice system operated by TechnoNet Sdn Bhd ("TechnoNet", "we", "us"). By subscribing to LexBill, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

LexBill is a cloud-hosted legal billing system that provides Client/Matter billing management, LHDN MyInvois e-Invoice submission, disbursement tracking, payment recording, and related features for Malaysian law firms.

The service is hosted and operated by TechnoNet in Malaysia. Access is provided via a web browser — no software installation is required on your firm's computers.

2. Subscription and Payment

LexBill is available on a monthly subscription at RM 150 + 8% SST per month per firm. The subscription covers your entire firm — all users, fee earners, secretaries, and branches — at no additional per-user charge.

Payment is accepted via:

Existing TechnoNet clients who qualify for the loyalty rate of RM 100/month must contact us directly to arrange that rate — it is not available through the self-serve portal.

All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

3. Subscription Term and Cancellation

Subscriptions are month-to-month with no minimum commitment period. You may cancel at any time.

On cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

To cancel, log in to the client portal at technonet.ai/portal and follow the cancellation instructions, or contact us at [email protected].

4. LHDN MyInvois Submission

LexBill submits e-Invoices to LHDN on your behalf using your firm's MyInvois API credentials. You are responsible for:

TechnoNet provides onboarding assistance to help you connect LexBill to your LHDN account, but we do not accept liability for penalties arising from LHDN non-compliance, submission errors caused by incorrect data entered by your firm, or changes to LHDN requirements after a subscription commences.

LHDN e-Invoice cancellations submitted within 72 hours of issuance are processed directly. After 72 hours, credit or refund notes must be issued in accordance with LHDN rules.

5. Acceptable Use

LexBill is licensed for use by Malaysian law firms and legal practices for the purpose of legal billing and LHDN e-Invoice compliance. You agree not to:

6. Data and Security

Your firm's data — including client names, matter details, invoice records, and billing history — is stored on secure servers operated by TechnoNet. Regular backups are performed. Access is restricted to authorised users of your firm.

TechnoNet does not sell, share, or disclose your firm's data to third parties except where required by law or necessary to operate the service (e.g., LHDN API submission, payment processing via Stripe).

For full details of how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Service Availability

TechnoNet targets high availability for LexBill but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practicable. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, TechnoNet's liability for any claim arising from your use of LexBill is limited to the subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost revenue, lost data, or regulatory penalties.

9. Changes to Terms

TechnoNet may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of LexBill after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. These Terms of Service are published in English and Bahasa Malaysia; if the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
